CPR is a lifesaving skill that everybody should know. Helping as many people as possible learn CPR could save a life! One way you can help more people learn CPR is by hosting a community CPR class. Knowing CPR in an emergency could be lifesaving, and giving more people the opportunity to learn how to perform CPR can be very valuable. Here is how you can host a community CPR class to help more people learn how to save a life!

The first step in hosting a community CPR class is finding a CPR instructor to teach the class. You can look online for CPR instructors near you. You can also reach out to your local fire department to see if they have an available CPR instructor to teach a class. Some instructors might have a designated space to hold CPR classes, or they might go to a location you have chosen.

If you need a space to hold a CPR class, you can try reaching out to local community centers or churches to see if they have an available space for hosting a class. Be sure to ask your CPR instructor if there is anything specific the space needs to have to be able to accommodate the class, like having enough room for demonstrations or a screen for videos of instructions.

After planning for your CPR class, you will need people to attend, but before inviting people, be sure to ask your CPR instructor how many people can attend the class. Once you have the number of available spots for your class, you can begin inviting people. You can invite friends and family; you can find people to attend through local community spaces or groups; you can also post about your class on local neighborhood apps or groups. You can encourage people already attending to invite others to also join.

Once you have a CPR instructor, a space to hold the class, and people to attend, your class is ready to be held. After your class, you can encourage others to host a class too, hopefully giving even more people an opportunity to learn this valuable skill. Learning CPR could help save a life in an emergency situation; by helping more people learn CPR, you are giving more people the opportunity to save a life. Your class could be the reason someone else has a chance to live!

After your CPR class, be sure to post pictures and share as much information as possible to show others the importance of getting CPR certified and how easy it can be!
